Our in-house Sodick wire EDM machines are giving you the part accuracy you need to be the envy of your competition with their maximizing cutting performance. Why use EDM wire cutting in the process of injection mold making?
- Wire EDM cutting can cut diameters ranging from a few thousandths of an inch to several inches, to lengths from 0.5” (12 mm) to 18.0” (450 mm) without end deformation or distortion.
- EDM cutting can achieve tolerance of ±001″, meanwhile lift a PPK value well over the standard minimum of 1.33.
- With relative ease Wire EDM can cut versatile metals ranging from copper to the hardest materials including molybdenum and tungsten
- Wire EDM also gives a natural radius to the end cut depending on the application.
